There are plenty of ways to go on holiday, whether you fancy exploring nature with a hiking holiday, an all-inclusive stay in a resort, or a romantic bed and breakfast hotel in the countryside. There is a lot to take into account when you’re planning a holiday, – what everyone wants to do, how much space there is for everybody to stay and how to get there to name just a few.  However, sometimes what you need to worry about is balancing the need to get away with the need to stay on budget – so today we thought we’d take a look at one of the most well-accepted forms of budget holiday: the good old RV park.

The first question to look at as ‘are RV vacations actually cheap’, because there’s no point in getting an idea in your head only to discover it’s not what you expected it to be. While RV holidays seem like they should be cheap because they’re very minimalistic, it actually depends on the kind of RV holiday you choose to have.

Some RV parks are very basic, and just provide the basic amenities to keep people ticking over; you will probably be offered a basic spot to place your vehicle and may find a grocery store on site. These are your cheap variety where the spot is all you need to pay for and other than that just take your RV and any equipment you might like with you. This will give you a simple holiday that won’t break your budget.

However, it’s also possible to go on very high end RV holidays. Some RV parks offer luxury spaces, which include outdoor furniture, access to spas and pools, and even individual hot tubs. Many places also offer increased privacy, shielding each spot from the others by using clever foliage or fencing, making you and your group feel like it’s just you in your own little world.

So, in answer to the question, the humble RV holiday is pretty much like everything else. If you want to make it a budget holiday you can make it a budget holiday – but you don’t have to if you want to splash the cash a little more. And of course, there are mid-range places in between the basic and the luxury – if you’d like some of the amenities without the flashy extras to float your holiday boat, there’s definitely something out there for you!
